Opening Day Chicago Daily Tribune Advertisement Poster for the Chicago World's Fair Rodeo, beginning on Friday afternoon, 25 August 1933. Having won the World Bronc Riding title for a second time, the Dempsey Trophy in June of that year at Reno, Nevada's "Pony Express Days Rodeo" and the Prince of Wales Cup for a third and final time, Pete Knight was honored with 'kicking out' the first bucking bronc of the World's Fair Rodeo. 17 days later, promoters were so impressed with the rodeo's reception, that the show was extended for another week. Pete Knight won the Bucking Championship, at that year's Chicago World's Fair Rodeo.
