I enjoyed the writings regarding Pete Knight. My mother lived in the Nanton/ Crossfield area in her childhood , knew Pete Knight and spoke admirably of him when I was a child. She was fond of horses and rode them as a young woman.
The Calgary Stampede always brings thoughts of Pete Knight to mind. Esther

Nice comments on Pete Knight and Midnight, I would like to comment that my grandfather Eddie D. Watrin rode Midnight in Edmonton in 1925 to a standstill on a 16 second count. His brothers were leo and Slim Watrin.

I have the gold belt buckle which Pete Knight won at the Toronto Stampede in 1926. I can't seem to figure out how to put it in an E-mail so if anyone wants to see it E-mail me a fax number and I will fax a photo copy.

I have seen the gold belt buckle Pete and his wife were wearing in pictures from the oxbow archives which were printed in "Pete Knight-Cowboy King".
He won it at the Toronto Stampede in 1926.
